'I know' Hahnemühle German Etching Print

The piercing look straight to your soul, the beautiful feathers, the amazing ability to see in the dark...these are just a few traits of an owl that fascinate us. I've always admired these wonderful birds of prey and the symbolism that surrounds them.

From reading children's books where the owl is wisest and all knowing, to Greek mythology that places an owl on Athena's, (the goddess of wisdom and strategy) blind side, so that she could see the whole truth.

This is the first painting in my "Knowing"-series, which will consist off five bird paintings that together tell a story. This juvenile long eared owl already knows what it's all about!
