A small, hand-finished art object based on one of my original hummingbird paintings on paper.
This Art block features the fiery plumage of a male Rufous Hummingbird alongside an iridescent blue hummingbird.
This series of five works was originally created as individual paintings that can also be placed together to form one larger flowing composition. Each Art Block can be displayed individually or combined with the other four to create the complete flowing composition. Each image is printed on 350 gsm smooth paper with a soft-touch laminate, then mounted by hand onto solid beech wood. The golden elements are finished by hand with gold acrylic paint, making each block slightly unique.
On the back you’ll find an information label, edition number, website and QR code leading to the story behind the hummingbird series. My engraved signature stamp is laser marked into the side of the wood as a final detail.
