Sun III

Sun III is a small gilded painting in which a tiny green parakeet feather lies on the ground before the folded crane. Set against a luminous 23.7k gold leaf ground, the work suggests a quiet moment of noticing, a pause before contact, filled with curiosity, attentiveness and possibility.

Part of the Golden Medallions series, this piece continues recent themes of identity, encounter and quiet transformation. The medallion format gives the work a concentrated, jewel-like presence, while the delicacy of the feather and the stillness of the scene invite a slower, more intimate way of looking.

Painted in oil on a round bamboo panel of 10 cm diameter and set in a solid oak tray frame with a black-painted inner edge, the work has an outer frame size of 14 × 14 cm. Finished and ready to hang.
