Sun V

Sun V is a small gilded painting in which the folded crane carries a soft white dove feather in its beak. Set against a luminous 23.7k gold leaf ground, the work holds a sense of tenderness and quiet devotion, balancing fragility with presence and softness with light.

Part of the Golden Medallions series, this piece continues recent themes of identity, encounter and quiet transformation. The intimate scale and precious materials give the work a calm, jewel-like character, while the white feather introduces a note of gentleness, stillness and care.
